Last 2 weeks I take a walk at Changi airport, I found that there are less youngsters gathering over there. I go round the 3 airport terminals also same conditions. I also saw there was crowds in the MacDonald, youngsters with friends studying inside the fast-food restaurant.That why we did not see them around. It is good for the airport, as there are less people lying on the floor studying and playing computer.
Then I saw that all the power plug have been lock up to prevent miss-use of power in the airport. I think this is also a cost saving plan by the management.
At this time when economy is bad all company is doing whatever they can to save cost, including cut OT, power saving (eg. reduce light and air con usage...) and retrenchments.
I don't understand why they don't do it when the economy is good ???

u are right, the economy is bad, and everywhere is cutting cost. But shopping centre still v crowded leh, wondering whether those ppl are there to spent or just window shopping???

I think most of them is windows shopping only and looking for discon items....but 1 thing will never change is travel...Singaporean like travelling overseas, why don't they spend their money for oversea in Singapore to help our economy ????

Ppl always think that they work so hard n so stress so they need to go oversea to take a fresh n different breathe esp in sg the life is so stressful.
We really hv to think how to spend properly cos the time is really bad now.

You are right, we need consider properly before we spend even bad or good times...must keep some cash to prepare unpredictable things happen....

I think they locked up the power points since that time, the cost of power went up 21%. Juz like the Mcdonalds at White Sands. But now reduced by 25% and they can take this opportunity to save cost. :D
