I was surprised to see 2 suns up in the sky on 24th Jan. morning.This photos was taken at MacRitchie Reservoir.

I think this is the moon and the sun.

And there is eclipse that will appear on the Lunar New Year just 2 days away.

Monkeys ~ MacRitchie Reservoir

Run away Monkeys/受惊的猴子。

When I taking this video, some jogger run pass me and scare away all the monkeys.Except the one below.They jump so fast that my camera don't know which way to shoot. It about a family of 7 monkeys.Can you spot there a mothers monkey carry a baby monkey in the top video ?

在我拍这猴群的时候，有几个晨运的人跑过把这些猴子吓得乱乱跳。害我不知道要从哪里捕捉我的镜头。幸亏还有一只没有逃掉，慢慢的再享受它的早餐。你们找找看有没有看到一只母猴抱着一只小猴子？

Good morning MacRitchie !!!

Saturday morning I was at MacRitchie enjoying the morning scene.

When I was about to leave MacRitchie using the HSBC trail, I saw 2 inconsideration persons.

This 2 persons was smoking walking on the HSBC trails,

since they are coming to enjoying the nature fresh air

"Why smoke !!!".

You are polluting the natural air and taking away others fresh air "who have to breath in your 2ND hand smoke" walking beside them or behind them.

To all smoker please be more consideration,

if you want to smoke don't go into the nature.

Don't pollute our natural fresh air.

Sun Rise in MacRitchie Reservoir

This is a sun rise scene taken at MacRitchie Reservoir last saturday.
You can see how the sky changes,it just like a waves.





This photo was taken from the Reservoir water, it just like a mirror showing the reflection image of the sky.

MacRitchie Reservoir - Jelutong Tower

Jelutong Tower ~ A 7 storey tower. At here you can see the sunset or sunrise.
It was located about 4 to 5km away from MacRitchie car park.

This is a Rambutan tree beside the Jelutong tower, but it still not ripe yet(still green).
Maybe about 2 weeks time we can see the red rambutans.

Morning is the begining of a brand new days.

I am glad and blessing that my family members are all with me and healthy.

MacRitchie Reservoir

This is my second trips to MacRitchie Reservoir and I took 2 hours to go round the whole MacRitchie Reservoir.
I walk for 13km starting from my home and cover track route round the MacRitchie Reservoir.
I was very tired, but I have a peace of mind inside the reservoir track.
Lucky my wife never come along, or else I won't be able to cover so far.
As inside there was so quite and can only hear the noise of birds and insects.
This is the longest roads I have ever walk, after my days in the army.
And it reminds me of the time we train in Brunei jungle going up and down the mountain.

History of MacRitchie Reservoir

Morning ray of MacRitchie Reservoir.

Before the early 19th century, most of the island was covered in primary forest. Between 1820 and 1870, a substantial portion of virgin forest was cleared to develop the island as an important trading post. Prior to this, many Chinese planters had also worked the land for timber and the cultivation of crops like gambier, pepper and rubber. By 1886, only 10% of the original forest cover remained. MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore's first reservoir, built in 1867-68. The development of the Reservoir brought the forest devastation around the area to a halt. The forest around the reservoir was protected as a water catchment reserve. The forests surrounding the other two reservoirs, Peirce and Seletar, were also protected when these reservoirs were developed later.
