Strokes (中风)

Something I like to shares with my blogs buddies articles;

Yesterday I heard from my mother that our neighbour friend have a strokes and admitted to hospital. But her ages about 30 plus and Strokes just strikes without any warning.
Strokes is the 4TH most common cause of death and a major cause of disability in Singapore. Yet it is one of the most preventable life-threatening health problems.

A stroke occurs when blood supply to a part of the brain is cut off, and the cells in that part of the brain die.When this happens, the functions thatare controlled by that part of the brainare lost. Depending on which part ofthe brain is affected, a person with a stroke may have:
*sudden numbness or weakness usually on one side of the body
*sudden confusion or a fit
*difficulty speaking or understanding
*sudden difficulty seeing in oneor both eyes
*sudden difficulty in walking
*sudden severe giddiness, loss of balance or coordination
*sudden severe headache with noknown cause difficulty in swallowing
*loss of concentration and memory
*loss of control of passing urine or passing motion.
