Case 1. Rich...
I accidentaly heard 2 young girls talking to her parents that they have buy some gifts from the Hello Kitty shop nearby. They spend about $100 plus for the gifts. When the parents was paying for their dinner bill in the resturant, I think the bill is around $100 plus. Both young girls said to their parents "Very Cheap".
Case 2. Poor...
When I went to toilet I saw a old ladies(toilet cleaner) looking for something, I ask her what she is looking? She told me she drop 5cents, as she was about to go into the shop nearby to buy something to eat. I also try to help her to find this 5cents, but cannot find. At last she also give up.
This 2 incidents show me what is rich and poor, the rich spend money like water and the poor even a 5cents is important to them.
This 2 incidents also give me feeling that the
(Case 1) youngters today spend money that nothing, as they can get money easily from their parents and also too pampered.
(Case 2) because of living, even every cents also count. This is all hard earn money.
I feel bad for the old ladies. This is the actual living facts in Singapore, old folks working as cleaners and collecting drinks cans to sell. Living standard is too high that they cannot stop working.As I heard once a cleaner told me, once she open her eye she need to spend money.Everything also need money, don't work cannot survive.

Nowadays youngsters are too pamper by parents. Whatever they want parents will definitely fulfilled them. 5 cents dropped on the floor youngsters can't be bothered to pick it up. Bus fare is already very expensive and still increase n increase. Sigh!
